Get Fuzzy (1/21/09)

Tonight was the season premiere of Lost and even though I’ve seen every episode of the show to date, I still had a hard time following tonight’s program. I wasn’t confused so much as irritated by the shadowy global conspiracies and crazy time traveling mischief that have come to dominate the show. I liked Lost a lot more when it was fantasy-based and content to explore its island-based mythology. It feels as if the show is veering into science fiction and losing a lot of what made it intriguing in the first place. Apropos of nothing, today’s Get Fuzzy was just as convoluted as tonight’s episode of Lost, but at least the strip ended with a funny non-sequitur.
