There was a time in my life when I ate a package of Jell-O every week and was proud of myself for preparing it with such expertise. The boiling water and the cold water were both measured precisely and I even had a regular rotation of flavors so as not to dull my palate. I know it’s silly, but I still prefer the taste of “fresh” Jell-O that sets in a cold metal container versus the pre-packaged stuff that comes in those little plastic cups.
