Pooch Cafe (5/20/09)

05-20-09 (Pooch Cafe)

This is a pretty deep existential problem plaguing the orange dog in this strip and its implications are spelled out in such a poetic fashion that I almost hate to point out the incredibly obvious solution. First, the dog should climb over the short branch of the tree he’s  sitting under. Next, he should thread himself through the resulting loop in his collar so he forms a tight knot against the branch. Finally, he should scamper to the other side of the tree, sit down and wait for the retractable leash to smack violently against the branch, then fall weakly to the ground. He could also ask his friend to bring him a pawful of doggy treats, just to pass the time.
