Moderately Confused (2/17/10)

Not to be a stickler, but why would someone open a bookstore dedicated to e-readers? These devices allow people to download books from anywhere, as long as they have an Internet connection. Isn’t that part of the appeal? Someone hears about a book they’d like to read and, rather than schlepping over to a bookstore, standing in an endless line, and shelling out $30 for a hardcover edition, they can push a button and dive right into the text. That’s not to say bookstores aren’t great places to while away the hours, but encountering a prominent e-reader display in one would be akin to seeing an iTunes kiosk at an independent record store.
