Brewster Rockit: Space Guy! (3/17/10)

It’s only a few short days before I fly to Italy for my honeymoon, so I’ve got the Renaissance on the brain. That’s why I completely overlooked the (relatively funny) punchline of this strip and focused on the first panel instead, especially the plaque at the far left. Its human figures are reminiscent of the famous Leonardo da Vinci sketch, Vitruvian Man. There are no extraneous limbs, but the lines in the background are unmistakable. The woman seems out of place, though, given her blonde hair. It seems like that would have been a rarity on the streets of Renaissance Italy…
