Cul de Sac (6/7/10)

This is 2010, not 1985, so I doubt that the students in this class will spend their summer watching television. What seems likelier is that they’ll spend the warm, carefree months of July and August sitting in front of a computer screen. Sure, they’ll have access to television shows online, and they’ll probably watch a bunch of them, but they’ll also spend hours upon hours playing games, reading kid-approved websites, circumventing their parents’ privacy controls, and, when they get bored of all that, probably learning to write code. By the time they get back to school in the fall, they’ll be full-blown hackers. They’ll also have forgotten everything they learned during the previous school year, but at least they’ll be able to Google it.
