Here’s a strip that would have never seen the light of day 10 years ago, which is a shame because it’s really, really funny. In fact, it’s such an obvious gag that I wouldn’t be surprised to learn it had been drawn and submitted before, only to be rejected by prudish editors. Whatever the history, I’m happy to see a cartoonist link a fly’s natural taste for dung with a Chinese restaurant’s habit of numbering the dishes on its menu, as if its customers were unable to pronounce the word, “Szechwan.” It’s about time.
